Peter McGovern, MD

Peter McGovern, MD, is a double board-certified OB/GYN and co-founder of University Reproductive Associates. He sees patients in Hasbrouck Heights, Wayne, and Millburn, New Jersey, and Goshen, New York, where he specializes in the treatment of recurrent pregnancy loss, in vitro fertilization, polycystic ovary syndrome, microscopic tubal sterilization reversal, and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. McGovern received his bachelor’s degree from Siena College in Loudonville, New York, and his Doctor of Medicine from New York University School of Medicine in New York City. He remained in NYC to complete his OB/GYN residency at New York University Bellevue Medical Center and then moved to New Jersey to complete his Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility fellowship at New Jersey Medical School University Hospital in Newark.

In addition to co-founding University Reproductive Associates, Dr. McGovern is a clinical professor at New Jersey Medical School in Newark and associate REI fellowship director at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School. He is a member and oral board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and reviewer for Fertility and Sterility, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, and American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
